'Unlike UTD,' 'Let's not cry' ... Lots of Liverpool fans react to unbelievable statistic
Penalties can hugely influence the outcome of a game, and they are sometimes the cause of controversy.
Liverpool have been involved in numerous penalty claims, but the Reds have not been awarded one at their home turf of Anfield for an entire year.
In fact, the last time that the Merseyside outfit had the chance to net from the spot at home was on October 28, 2017 against Huddersfield Town.
Mohamed Salah lined up to take it but ended up failing to convert in front of the Anfield crowd.
The statistic has sparked a big reaction from Liverpool fans, with some suggesting that their arch enemies Manchester United regularly benefit from penalty calls at Old Trafford.
Liverpool haven’t had a penalty awarded at Anfield in the Premier League for a year. #LFC

Even though Liverpool have failed to earn a penalty at Anfield for 12 months, it is not hugely affecting their form this season.
Jurgen Klopp’s side are Premier League title contenders for the first time in years, and they are currently unbeaten after 10 games.
