"Time to offload him", "Borner had a better game" - Lots of SWFC fans slam their "biggest fraud"

Sheffield Wednesday missed an opportunity to go top of the Championship table after a goalless draw in the rain-soaked Yorkshire derby on Saturday afternoon.

Garry Monk’s men had one of the best chances of the match in the second half when Steven Fletcher’s first-time attempt cannoned off the crossbar, but it just wasn’t to be at Hillsborough.

Leeds United too had their chances with Ezgjan Alioski heading onto the post late on as both teams played out their first 0-0 stalemate since 1969.

The Owls boss was forced into a last-minute change for the second game in a row after mainstay centre-back Julian Borner picked up an injury in the warm-up, meaning Sam Hutchinson dropped into the defence with Joey Pelupessy partnering Barry Bannan in central midfield.

And it’s fair to say that much of the Wednesday faithful weren’t best pleased with the Dutch midfielder’s showing.

One supporter called the 26-year-old the ‘biggest fraud’ he had seen in years at the club while another claimed that the injured German had a better game than he did, even though he was withdrawn pre-match.

‘Poor,’ ‘terrible’ and ‘hopeless’ were just three other words used to describe him with one more fan believing he should be offloaded as soon as possible.

Here’s the best of the reaction:
