"£250m or so would do it", "Not for sale" - Many Villa fans react to PL boss' admission

When Pep Guardiola says someone is “too expensive” for Manchester City, you know that player must be at least half-decent.

Despite coming up on the losing side in Saturday afternoon’s clash with the Premier League champions, Aston Villa’s main man Jack Grealish seemingly did enough for the City manager to gush over his talents.

Speaking after the game, the Spaniard said (as quoted by The Daily Mirror): “He’s incredible. A top player. I’m happy he (initially) stayed in the Championship to defend his club. He’s a talented player who always creates something. An exceptional player but too expensive for Manchester.”

After hearing Guardiola’s comments on their talisman, Villa fans flooded to Twitter to voice their thoughts on the developing situation.

Many supporters appeared to react positively to the glowing tribute paid by the former Barcelona boss, with one fan in particular suggesting it is great to see Grealish “getting the recognition he deserves”.

Some fans however felt even the 24-year-old isn’t priceless, with another supporter claiming a fee in the region of £250m may be enough to lure him away from Villa Park.
