[Image] - The picture that perfectly sums up Harry Kane's Anfield outing

Tottenham Hotspur fell to a 2-1 defeat to Liverpool on Sunday and one man was remarkably isolated throughout the entire encounter.

Of course, Harry Kane scored the opening goal at Anfield, nodding the ball in after Son Heung-Min’s speculative drive had been deflected onto the bar, thus giving Spurs the advantage after less than a minute of play.

However, thereafter, Kane played on the periphery of the game and one image seems to sum it all up.

Kane, on the ground, with not a single player around him, toil and effort etched across his face but with no real reward at the end of it.

Indeed, per WhoScored, Kane had 29 touches of the ball, the lowest number of any player to start the game.

He scored, obviously, but didn’t complete a dribble, nor did he win a tackle. Kane was also dispossessed three times as he struggled to find his way into the game.

Naturally, one has to question his supply throughout the game as Christian Eriksen registered a pass completion rate of just 62%, while Son Heung-Min made more tackles than dribbles, pointing towards a more defensive role in the team.

Kane, then, was left stranded at the top of the pitch, waiting for someone to play him in.

After the first minute, that didn’t happen.
