Mauricio Pochettino indicates his role at Tottenham has changed & reveals transfer concerns
Real Madrid 0 – Tottenham 1
Harry Kane was again Tottenham’s match-winner.
A terrible mistake from Real Madrid left-back Marcelo gifted possession to Kane in the first half.
Clean through on goal, the Spurs and England striker beat Keylor Navas at his near post.

Spurs summer transfers
After failing to sign any players for the past two windows, Tottenham have added a couple of new faces this summer.
Jack Clarke join Spurs from Leeds, although the midfielder will remain at Elland Road on loan this season.
Tanguy Ndombele has also joined Tottenham from Lyon.
Elsewhere, Spurs have been linked with Real Betis midfielder Giovani Lo Celso and Fulham’s Ryan Sessegnon.
While, regarding possible summer sales, Danny Rose has been told he can leave the club, while Christian Eriksen has indicated he wants to leave Spurs.
Yet, as confirmed by Mauricio Pochettino after the Real Madrid game, transfers aren’t in his control.
Mauricio Pochettino confirms transfers aren’t in his control
As confirmed in the Telegraph, Mauricio Pochettino has suggested he should have a new job title at Tottenham:
I am not in charge. I know nothing about the situation of my players, I am only coaching them, trying to get the best from them.
These type of things that are going to happen or not happen, sell or buy players, extend contract or not extend contract: it’s not in my hands, it’s in the club’s hands and in [chairman] Daniel Levy’s hands.
At the moment, I am managing the team in the best way possible. Maybe the club need to change my title description now, because my job now is to coach the team.
It’s not a question for me, it’s a question for the club, and maybe they are going to change my title description.
Like I told you before, I am not in charge about the individual situations. I am the boss designing the strategy to train, to play, the methodology, the philosophy in my area. But in another area… today, I think I am the coach.
