Arsenal may sell Shkodran Mustafi to Monaco for €30m & Matteo Guendouzi set for a new deal

Shkodran Mustafi to Monaco for €30m

If this happens, many Arsenal fans will be over the moon.

L’Equipe have reported that Monaco are in talks with Arsenal regarding German centre-half Shkodran Mustafi.

Mustafi joined Arsenal from Valencia back in 2016, agreeing a five-year deal with the Gunners.

A 35 million pound signing, Mustafi is out of contract in 24 months time.

But could Arsenal sell Mustafi before the close of this transfer window?

With a €30 million valuation hung around his neck, L’Equipe (via GFFN) say Monaco are considering a move for Mustafi as their defender Jemerson is a target for AS Roma and Flamengo.

Jemerson only has a year to run on his Monaco deal, at which point he can leave for free.

Matteo Guendouzi’s new conract

20-year-old Matteo Guendouzi joined Arsenal twelve-months ago from Lorient.

His current contract lasts until 2022.

Last season Guendouzi made 48 appearances for the Gunners in all competitions, including 33 appearances in the league.

As reported by Soccer Link, Arsenal have opened contract extension talks with Guendouzi.

While one assumes that Arsenal may offer Guendouzi a pay-rise in their new deal, no figures regarding the possible future contract are revealed.
