"Don't wake me up" - These Arsenal fans are in dreamland over David Ornstein claim
So, Shkodran Mustafi’s time at the Emirates may finally be reaching its end. The German has been the subject of much criticism in his time at Arsenal, and reports earlier this summer had indicated that Unai Emery had decided enough was enough with the centre-back.
However, Laurent Koscielny’s shock refusal to go on the pre-season tour, along Rob Holding’s lack of fitness, seemingly saw rumours of Mustafi’s exit end up on the back-burner.
But, according to BBC Sport journalist David Ornstein, the north London side are “in talks with a number of clubs” over Mustafi’s departure. He adds that whilst the Germany international is keen to stay and prove himself at the Emirates, the Gunners want either a permanent or loan move for the defender.
After hearing the news of Mustafi’s possible exit, Arsenal fans took to Twitter to voice their opinion on the matter and many were seemingly relieved.

Gunners supporters revealed their excitement that Mustafi could be leaving, and suggested that after reports of the club potentially signing Lille winger Nicolas Pepe, things were simply getting “better and better”.
Indeed, a few fans of the north London side insisted that they would be more than happy to help Mustafi pack his bags, and scoffed at the claims that the 27-year-old was keen to prove himself.

Has proved himself enough. He deserves to go prove himself to other clubs too.
