Arsenal need to sell but Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang & Alexandre Lacazette will stay
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang & Alexandre Lacazette
As confirmed by the BBC’s David Ornstein, neither Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang nor Alexandre Lacazette will leave Arsenal this summer.
In recent months, rumours have suggested that both Aubameyang and Lacazette could exit the Gunners.
Starting with Aubameyang – last season’s joint Premier League top goalscorer – some have linked the Gabon striker to Manchester United this off-season.
Aubameyang, who joined Arsenal from Borussia Dortmund, remains under contract with the Gunners until 2021.

As for Lacazette, the French striker has previously been linked to Barcelona.
Barcelona, of course, have boosted their attack signing another French striker this summer: Antoine Griezmann.
What David Ornstein said about Arsenal’s 2019-20 attack
Speaking on BBC 5 Live radio on Saturday night, David Ornstein confirmed that the Gunners are close to signing Nicolas Pepe from Lille.
Should that deal complete, Ornstein considered how Unai Emery could play a front-three of Pepe, Aubameyang and Lacazette.
Moreover, in a clear, unequivocal statement, Ornstein stressed that neither Aubameyang or Lacazette will be sold this summer.
That said, Arsenal need to sell
However, Ornstein did confirm that Arsenal do need to sell some players before the transfer window closes.
Unfortunately, Ornstein didn’t go into any details about which players could be sold. He said:
I think Arsenal may need to see some departures now, even if their not big named departures to free up some finances.
