'Morale in the camp is good' - West Ham star insists spirits are high despite defeat at Liverpool
West Ham United centre-back James Collins has said that ‘morale in the camp is good’ as the Hammers prepare to travel to Swansea City in the Premier League this weekend.
David Moyes’ side have only won one of their last five in the Premier League, with that run of form leaving them in 13th position in the table.
Just three points separates West Ham from 18th-placed Swansea ahead of their clash at the Liberty Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
Swansea will enter the match having won their last three on home soil, but West Ham recorded a 4-1 victory in the corresponding fixture last term.
Despite suffering a disappointing 4-1 defeat at Liverpool on Sunday afternoon, Collins has insisted that the Hammers will enter this weekend’s clash full of confidence.
Collins told West Ham’s official website:
“Morale in the camp is good. We had a good result against Watford and then a couple of weeks of good training, so spirits are high.
“We’ve got some great characters in that dressing room and we need to focus on Swansea, go there and get a good result.”
West Ham have only won two of their 15 away Premier League matches this season – suffering eight defeats in the process.
