Reports claim Newcastle’s Freddie Woodman is wanted by Leeds United, and fans on Tyneside are absolutely loving the idea.

According to Chronicle Live, Leeds are looking at Woodman as a possible solution to their goalkeeping crisis.

Marcelo Bielsa’s side lost Jamal Blackman to a season-ending injury over the international break, and first choice stopper Bailey Peacock-Farrell has come under fire for his poor start to the season.

Woodman meanwhile is not getting any chances at St James’ Park, due simply to the dominant form of Martin Dubravka.

Dubravka joined permanently this summer after impressing during his loan stay last season, while Karl Darlow and Rob Elliot might both be ahead of Woodman in the pecking order.
