'Says everything', 'Sack him' - Sarri has still managed to frustrate plenty of Chelsea fans

Chelsea fans have been left perplexed and exasperated after Maurizio Sarri dedicated the Blues’ Europa League triumph to his former club Napoli.

The Italian manager claimed his first ever major trophy as Chelsea dismantled Arsenal 4-1 in Baku behind Eden Hazard’s man of the match performance.

The Belgian notched two superb goals, ensuring the successful culmination to a turbulent season which has seen Sarri’s position questioned on numerous occasions despite eventually guiding the club to a top-four Premier League finish.

Speaking after the momentous victory on Wednesday night, the former banker said: “I dedicate this victory to Napoli fans because I didn’t manage to give them this kind of joy and to the players who missed this game due to injuries.”

The Naples native led his former side to the brink of the Scudetto last season, losing out to Juventus by just four points despite collecting an unprecedented 91 points.

After getting within touching distance of glory, Sarri left Napoli in acrimonious circumstances as chairman Aurelio De Laurentiis blamed the boss for his side’s failure to win any trophies.

Now, just 12 months on, Sarri has his first piece of major silverware in a different shade of blue, but his dedication to his former employers has not gone down well with the Chelsea faithful.
