"Imagine", "A risk" - These Man City fans disagree over "massive waste of money"
Loads of Manchester City fans have been reacting to the craziest transfer rumour of the summer so far, as the champions were linked with Lionel Messi.
According to Diario Gol, City are chasing a deal for perhaps the greatest player of all time.
Messi is known to have a great relationship with Pep Guardiola, and was visibly frustrated after his side lost the Copa del Rey final to Valencia last weekend.
He had already expressed that he felt this season was a failure after losing to Liverpool in the Champions League.
According to the report, any potential deal would cost around €250m (£220.6m), which would of course break the world record for a single transfer fee.

The Cityzens already have their own array of attacking talent though, and the reports have been met with a mixture of scepticism and optimism from fans.
Plenty see the news as nothing more than a rumour, while others are loving the thought of Messi and Pep reuniting at the Etihad.
