'Grab him while we can' - Leeds fans are eager for 47-year-old to replace Heckingbottom

As Leeds United’s poor form in the English Championship continues, fans are increasingly considering a future without Paul Heckingbottom in charge next season.

The former Barnsley boss has failed to improve the fortunes of the Elland Road side since taking charge in February. Leeds have won just three matches in that time.

With the departure of Chris Coleman as Sunderland boss this weekend, supporters are interested in the possibility of appointing the former Wales manager as Heckingbottom’s replacement.

The 47-year-old has a mixed record in club management but as Wales boss took them to the semi-finals of the European Championships and as high as 8th in the FIFA world rankings.

Some fans believe he could be the best option available in the close season to take Leeds forward.

Is the pressure on Heckingbottom so soon after taking on Leeds harsh, or is it obvious he is not the man to help them make a play-offs bid next term?

Supporters took to Twitter to share their thoughts on it all…
