'What a player', 'Magical' - Aston Villa fans convinced by 6ft hero after monumental win

Aston Villa have moved to within striking distance of the automatic promotion places in the English Championship after a last gasp win away to Sheffield United on Tuesday night.

With second placed Derby County dropping points away to Millwall, it’s a victory that could prove pivotal in the Villans’ quest to return to the English Premier League.

The hero of the evening was Robert Snodgrass, who curled home a beauty in the 90th minute to send the away support into raptures.

The Scotland international has been in outrageous form of late, scoring four goals and providing three assists in his last seven matches for the promotion hopefuls.

Steve Bruce’s side have now won their last five matches in the Championship, conceding just one goal in that period, and will be hoping it’s a sign of things to come in the last few months of the season.
