"Fed up!" - West Ham fans furious at board's latest comments on £13.5m-rated transfer target
With just hours to go before the January transfer window closes, West Ham are yet to strengthen their attacking options, despite a wealth of injuries and rumoured outgoings.
Despite a host of international strikers being linked with a move to the London Stadium, Portuguese midfielder Joao Mario is currently the only new face to arrive at the club this January.
One player who has been linked with a move to the Hammers over the last few days is striker Fedor Smolov.
Smolov, who captains his native Russia, plays his club football with Krasnodar, who are looking for at least £12million for their star man.
However, according to The Guardian, West Ham are now unsure whether to pursue Smolov, as they have doubts over him being the “right fit” for the club.
Frustrated by the latest comments from the club and the serious delays in signing a front man, West Ham fans took to Twitter and were understandably concerned and angry…

Right fit? In other words not injured and knows where the net is!

Why express an interest if you haven't done the research and worked out he wouldn't fit in the first place!!!!! No wonder we are a laughing stock!!

Just like Sullivan and Gold ‘not the right fit’

This basically means they don’t want to have to pay a transfer fee or any wages!
