Arsenal fans destroy two players during defeat to Swansea

Arsenal lose again on their travels

Arsenal have one of the worst away records in English football this season and they were beaten by the Premier League’s bottom club on Tuesday night by 3 goals to 1.

Swansea tore Arsenal to shreds and two players in particular were destroyed on social media.

Granit Xhaka can’t play football

Xhaka seemed to completely switch off as Sam Clucks equalised for Swansea after Nacho Monreal had given Arsenal an early lead.

The Swiss midfielder has been caught napping on plenty of occasions this term and many Arsenal fans believe he is not good enough for the club.

Xhaka gives away needless fouls, picks up too many yellow cards and contributes very little to Arsenal’s attack and it is to no great surprise that, not for the first time this season, he was at the heart of plenty of abuse from Arsenal fans on twitter.

Petr Cech was also slated… again

A shocking mis-kick from Cech led to Swansea’s second goal and yet again, Petr Cech was extremely poor for Arsenal.

Many fans and pundits believe that Cech is past his best and is no longer a quality goalkeeper.

It seems ludicrous that Arsenal sold Wojciech Szczesny to Juventus in the summer considering how poor Cech has played in his two and a half years in North London.

The former Chelsea keeper has conceded 14 goals in his last seven matches for the club which is an abysmal record for any goalkeeper, let alone one at a top English side.

Cech has come under criticism for his failure to save a penalty for The Gunners but he has made numerous mistakes this season leading to goals which were easily avoidable.

Of course, Arsenal fans and pundits were quick to give their thoughts on Cech’s mistake and his overall performance.

Who else was poor?

As an Arsenal fan myself, I have to say that Alex Iwobi and Alexandre Lacazette were appalling tonight and can consider themselves lucky that Cech and Xhaka were so bad.
