'Glad to see the back of him', 'Unreliable waste of space' - West Ham fans react negatively to club's Twitter video
On Monday, West Ham United confirmed that they had agreed to sell Diafra Sakho to Ligue 1 side Rennes.
The 28-year-old tried to leave the London Stadium for Rennes during the summer, but ultimately stayed in England for the first half of the 2017-18 campaign.
The deal has now gone through, however, with Sakho leaving West Ham having scored 24 times in 71 first-team appearances, which is not the worst record in the world.
Shortly after announcing his departure, West Ham posted a video on their official Twitter account where they thanked Sakho for his contributions.
The video did not go down too well, however, with the response section full of West Ham supporters revealing that they will not miss the Senegal international.
There is no question that Sakho could have handled his exit better, and he will not be too fondly remembered by the majority of the club’s supporters.
A selection of the Twitter reaction to the club’s video can be found below:
We'll never forget this goal.
