Brighton and Hove Albion only just beat the drop last season after a torrid run in 2019 dragged them into an intense relegation battle with Cardiff City. They ultimately stayed up but it was a nervy end to the campaign for the Seagulls faithful.

Credit has to be given to Chris Hughton for enabling Brighton to claim draws against Arsenal, Newcastle, and Wolves, as ultimately those three points helped them to stutter over the finish line ahead of Cardiff.

Hughton, however, was relieved of his duties and Graham Potter has been named as the new manager.
