Bargain buy: 69% of polled Rangers fans want Gerrard to move for ex-Real Madrid trainee

The majority of the Rangers fans that answered our recent poll want Steven Gerrard to make a move for Malaga’s young Scottish starlet Jack Harper in January.

According to The Scottish Sun, Malaga recently rejected a £1m bid from La Liga high-flyers Getafe ahead of the winter transfer window. However, a slightly bigger bid would surely tempt the second division side to cash in on Harper, and it could still be considered a bargain for Rangers.

Harper, a former Real Madrid trainee, was born in Malaga to Scottish parents. He has never played in Scottish domestic football, but he does have caps for the Scottish U17 and U19 national teams and was called up to the U21 side in March last year.

With three goals this season and plenty of talent behind him, the 22-year-old forward would add some much-needed firepower to the Gers attack. Check out the full results of our poll below, where 69 per cent of Rangers fans said they would back a move.
