Back to go forward: 63% of polled Everton fans would support a move to re-sign ex Toffees star

The majority of Everton fans that answered our recent poll said that they would support Marco Silva if he was to make a big money move to bring Romelu Lukaku back to Goodison Park.

The big Belgian striker spent four years with the Toffees, scoring an impressive 87 goals in 166 games throughout all competitions before leaving for Manchester United in a £75m deal during the summer of 2017.

Since then though things haven’t been great for Lukaku. This season has been especially tough and he has been much criticised by the media and was dropped by former boss Jose Mourinho having gone 10 games without a goal.

However, the 25-year-old has still registered six goals in all competitions and Everton are in need of a front-man if they are to break into the top six under Marco Silva. If the Toffees were to re-sign Lukaku for less than they sold him for then it is clear that most fans think he could find form again.

In fact, 63 per cent of those who answered our poll said they would support the move. Check out the full results below.
