Please don't sign him: 52% of Everton fans really hope Silva avoids contract rebel

Declan Rice has been making headlines of late due to his contract situation at West Ham United.

Doubts have now arisen over the 19-year-old’s future at the London Stadium, which has led to reports that Everton could be interested.

According to The Gambling Times, the Merseyside outfit are one of a number of clubs keeping a close eye on the situation.

The Daily Mail recently reported that Rice has been offered a new contract worth around £12,000 per week, but it has been declined by the youngster’s camp.

The versatile player, who can also play in defence, is currently on a modest wage of £3,000 per week and is said to be demanding a significant increase.

Rice has certainly shone in the holding role in his past three appearances for the club, of which they have gone unbeaten.

Everton are not in desperate need of a defensive midfielder, but we asked you if the club should be taking an interest in the West Ham star.

Judging by the response, plenty of Toffees fans would be happy if Marco Silva did not add Rice to his team.
