"Dreadful", "Abysmal" - These Newcastle fans are raging at Benitez favourite
Loads of Newcastle fans have been giving their verdict on the defeat to Leicester, and they can’t believe Rafael Benitez is still starting Ayoze Perez.
Newcastle have now picked up just two points form their first seven games after yet another home defeat.
The Magpies had an absolutely brutal fixture list to open the season, but matches against Crystal Palace and Leicester were surely ones they should be taking some points from.
Jamie Vardy gave the Foxes a first half lead from the penalty spot though, and Harry Maguire doubled the lead after the break.
Not many Newcastle players will be happy with their performance, but Perez in particular had an afternoon to forget.
The 25 year-old was superb in the second half of last season, scoring eight times and grabbing five assists, but fans are fuming at his performances so far this season.
Last season’s hero managed just one shot, completed no dribbles and created zero chances.
You can find some of the best Twitter reactions down below, look away now Ayoze…
Players who I never want to see play for us again
Joselu
Manquillo
Hayden
Perez
Clark.
DiameAll of them nowhere near the standard to play at this level.

Don’t think I’ve ever seen Ayoze Perez take the ball past an opposition player

Ayoze Perez has made 147 appearances for Newcastle United. 147.

What does he expect to happen with Joselu & Perez as your strikers? #nufc

Absolutely dreadful. Too many players looked like they don’t care! How Atsu and Perez outlasted Ritchie is beyond belief! #nufc

Muto is 3000% better than Perez. #nufc

Me neither. Perez doesn’t do anything right during games than score a goal

@NUFC_Index 0-1 down and Perez casually jogging off!
This is like a pre season friendly. Abysmal stuff— Steve McKenna (@SteveMcKenna_) September 29, 2018
Even this soon into the season it’s fair to say we are probably going down. Limpest attack I’ve seen in ages. Joselu and Perez wouldn’t get into a championship team #NUFCvsLeicester #NUFC #AshleyOut
