Gary Neville defends Jose Mourinho after West Ham
Will Man United fire Jose Mourinho?
A couple of the Sunday papers peddle stories this weekend suggesting Jose Mourinho’s days at Man United are over.
That’s after Man United lost 3-1 at West Ham on Saturday.
The result has left United tenth in the league with 10 points from seven games.
Liverpool and Man City are already nine points clear of United in the table.
Is it clear that Man United are already out of the title race?

Gary Neville defends Jose Mourinho after West Ham
Gary Neville has used social media on Sunday morning to give his views on Man United after the West Ham game.
Neville steered clear of referring to either Mourinho or Man United’s CEO Ed Woodward by name.
However the Sky Sports pundit made it plain that responsibility for Man United’s present woes rest with those in the boardroom rather than the dugout.
This mess started when United sacked David Moyes after 8 months and we lost all sense of the values that the club had been built on for 100 years . It’s not the manager it’s the lack of football leadership above him. They are bouncing all over the place with no plan!

That’s another question but when they sacked him after 8 months it went into pinball , reactive mode and chasing it! No plan… https://t.co/8qWtKIaLTD

Backlash to Gary Neville
It’s fair to say that not everyone agrees with Gary Neville’s analysis.
This mess started when they employed Moyes in the first place, and it was only SAF’s genius that delayed the mess from 2005 until then. Even so, Mourinho’s not up to it

That and Howard Webb retiring

Oh come on. This mess started when United employed David Moyes after a career of no success and limited football and we lost all sense of the values that the club had been built on for 27 years. The second bit is spot-on. https://t.co/vc4br8JYe4

This mess started when SAF unilaterally gave the job to someone woefully under qualified. Like asking the fella who runs the local offy to take over Tesco. Shambles ever since
