Loads of West Ham fans have been running the rule over Saturday’s momentous win, and they’re absolutely loving summer signing Issa Diop.

While the Hammers made loads of impressive attacking signings this summer, most fans would agree that their biggest problem since moving to the London Stadium has been their defence.

Manuel Pellegrini and director of football Mario Husillos look to have pulled a master stroke in that department as well though, as Diop and Fabian Balbuena are looking better every week.

Diop had a shaky start to life as a Hammer, making a vital mistake during the defeat at Arsenal, but his performance against Manchester United on Saturday was a sight to behold.

The young Frenchman made two tackles, two interceptions, five clearances and vital block, prompting Jose Mourinho to congratulate the scout who found him.

The 21 year-old has been absolutely immense over the last few games as the Hammers have picked up seven points out of a possible nine, and fans are heaping praise on their £22m signing.
