"We've been found out", "Atrocious" - Loads of Leeds fans react to rival's post-Preston comments
Loads of Leeds fans have been reacting to the 2-0 defeat to Preston, and they’ve got plenty to say about Alex Neil’s post-match comments.
Leeds fell to their first defeat of the Marcelo Bielsa era on Tuesday night, despite having a man advantage for most of the match.
Preston took an early lead at Elland Road courtesy of Daniel Johnson’s penalty, but the visitors were down to ten men after a ridiculous challenge from Ryan Ledson in the 29th minute.
Bielsa’s weakened side couldn’t take advantage of the extra man though, and Neil’s Preston sealed their progress to the next round with a delightful goal from Brandon Barker.
Fans can take solace in the fact that several key players were rested, but they’ve all been reacting to Neil’s post-match comments on Bielsa’s tactics.
“Fight fire with fire,” said the Preston boss after the win, and there were certainly times when Bielsa’s young side looked flustered by the visitors’ pressing.
The comments have drawn a mixed reaction from fans, as some worry if Bielsa’s high-tempo pressing has already been found out, others sarcastically mock Neil, and a few just don’t care about the Carabao Cup.

You can’t expect to win every game. Especially with 9 changes and it only the cup. We are still undefeated it the league that’s all that matters not the carabao cup😂

If fight fire with fire means timewasting and boring the smoke out of us then he got it down to a tee

It obviously worked well for them . Rotherham employed the same 1st half tactics and were unlucky not to be in front at H/T . Confidence in Bielsa to ratify the situation #lufc

Going to be more games like that. Teams will work out our style of play.

Not sure we brought any fire tonight, but fair play to them for smothering what little we did show up with.
