Sign him Jos: 60% of Sheffield Wednesday fans polled yearn to get 19-year-old Prem man on loan

According to Marca, Spanish side Eibar are keen to sign West Ham youngster Reece Oxford on loan, but 60 per cent of Sheffield Wednesday fans polled wanted Jos Luhukay to bring the 19-year-old to Hillsborough.

The Owls’ boss wasn’t able to make any permanent additions this summer as the club were placed under a transfer embargo by the English Football League for failing to adhere to Financial Fair Play guidelines. However, the ban was lifted with the loan window still open so it is still possible for Luhukay to add to his squad.

Wednesday are currently sitting in 14th in the Championship having won their last two league games against Ipswich and Millwall after a poor early start to the season. Oxford’s versatility and ability to play either at centre-back or in central midfield makes him an attractive prospect and Marca report that he is likely to come with a £1.8m loan fee.
