Alexis Sanchez picks fellow Man United player to win World Cup Golden Boot
Lukaku
Alexis Sanchez has backed Romelu Lukaku to win the Golden Boot at the World Cup, and said that he thinks the player is in the form of his life.
He spoke about his teammate and made it clear he not only wants him to win the award, but also to shine in the World Cup full stop.
Alexis is of course sitting out the World Cup as Chile failed to qualify, and it seems that he’s still watching and cheering on his teammates.
Goal report Alexis said: “Lukaku is fine, on fire. He has four goals.
“I hope he is the top goalscorer of the World Cup.”
Next season
Since joining Man United, Alexis hasn’t found his best form, and has made it very clear he’s annoyed with himself and wants to improve next season, when he’s more used to the system and style of play employed by Jose Mourinho.
Mourinho himself has no qualms that the player will hit the heights he reached at Arsenal, and thinks that he will fit into his system and can rack up the goals for United next season.
Last time out, the Red Devils struggled in terms of their fluidity, and looked lost up top at times – ending up without a trophy and finishing a very distant second to Manchester City in the league – not to mention crashing out of the Champions League at the hands of Sevilla.
