"Sack him for this", "A joke" - Lots of Chelsea fans react to Sarri's comments on attacker
Chelsea fans on Twitter haven’t reacted in the best possible way to Maurizio Sarri’s comments on Gonzalo Higuain following the final whistle at Old Trafford on Sunday.
The Blues recorded a 1-1 draw with Manchester United in a game that will be crucial in the race for the top four, but the on-loan Juventus striker arguably should’ve given his side all three points with just seconds remaining.
Many football fans dread the transfer window. The Pl>ymaker FC squad name who they’re worried about losing this summer in the video below…
Higuain found himself one-on-one with David de Gea, who he attempted to lob unsuccessfully – what makes the miss worse is that Eden Hazard was free for a tap-in had he squared it.
After the game, Sarri said: “For a striker it is difficult to get used to the Premier League, for every striker.
“I think in the next season he will be able to score a lot.”
It is that last sentence, implying Sarri sees Higuain staying at Stamford Bridge beyond his loan spell, which has sparked a reaction from the Chelsea fanbase on Twitter.
The Argentina international has hit just four league goals since arriving in January, and will turn 32 at the end of the calendar year, both factors making him a poor choice in terms of a permanent signing.
However, Sarri sounds keen on doing just that, much to the disarray of the Blues supporters on Twitter…
It‘s almlost as if he‘s saying those things on purpose to wind us up ??♂️

If we keep him I give up.

Clown. Pls @ChelseaFC make sure Sarri, Higuain, Kovacic & his son Jorghino are no where near the club next season. Sarri loves mediocrity, it’s worrying. Higuain has been finished for the past 2 years

Sarri is a joke

Muahahaha. If that’s the case git sacked. Higuain is beyond redemption. You can spot a finished striker when you see one.

I support you 100% man but you’ll be absolutely bonkers to think he’ll be here next season

Sarri wants Higuain to stay.
I do understand he's come in January which is a difficult period to settle in.
But its besides the point. He's getting older and is past his prime.
Having him as our number 9 will be settling for less. We NEED to replace Diego Costa.
