"Effortless", "Stop that", "Play him as striker" - Lots of Blues fans react to clip of Lampard

In his new role as Chelsea manager, it may be easy to forget that Frank Lampard was once one of the best players in the world.

During an illustrious career, the former West Ham midfielder scored 261 goals in 882 games played for the Blues, the Hammers, Manchester City and New York City. He retired in 2017 before going on to take the reigns at Derby County.

The old saying goes “form is temporary, class is permanent”, and the 41-year-old has demonstrated that in a clip taken from a Chelsea training session.

If Frank Lampard fails, would Chelsea fans welcome Jose Mourinho back for a third time? Find out in the video below…

After rolling the ball in front of him, the former England international hit a banger into the top right-hand corner of the net, leaving Willy Caballero with little chance of saving it.

The club’s official Twitter account has shared the video, and the Stamford Bridge faithful have been reacting to it. They are clearly impressed, and you can see some of the best comments displaying that below.
