Man United man reveals reason behind success this season

Loans

Man United player Jesse Lingard has spoken about his success and revealed he thinks the various loans the club sent him out on have been vital.

He noted that the same thing has happened with Harry Kane, and that it really isn’t important how you get into the first team at your parent club, but that you do it – and once the chance comes along, you take it with both hands and make sure the manager knows who you are and why you should be playing.

“Both of us have been on loan and done well back at our parent clubs,” Lingard told Sky Sports.

“People go different routes to the first team but it doesn’t matter which path you take, as long as you get to the final destination.

“I learnt different things at each club and brought it back to Man Utd. It was just about bringing it back here and succeeding.

“The manager’s given me that confidence and put the faith in me.

“It’s good that I can repay him by scoring goals.”

Points

United know that from now until the end of the season, they need to amass as many points as possible, with second place the best they can get in the league.

Manchester City are winning the title and possibly going further in the Champions League, and all that’s left for United at this minute is the FA Cup, and Mourinho will be desperate to beat Tottenham Hotspur in the semi finals and get to a showdown against either Chelsea or Southampton.
