Man United fans have the same reaction to a former leader’s massive dig

Louis van Gaal has been very outspoken about his time at Manchester United since leaving the club in 2016.

The Dutchman, who was not exactly shy in front of the media while in the Old Trafford hotseat, was sacked by the Red Devils just two days after guiding the team to FA Cup glory over Crystal Palace.

The experienced coach has criticised many aspects of his time at the club, and has also laid into current United manager Jose Mourinho.

Now, in an interview with Bild, the 66-year-old has taken aim at executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward, who is involved in the hiring and firing at United.

In the German publication, Van Gaal insisted that he has no problems with Mourinho, despite his previous outbursts, but could not help but direct a dig at the club’s hierarchy.

“What I find wrong is when a CEO says that they are totally happy with you and they tell you not to believe the press. Then you win the FA Cup and are still fired.”

United fans have had their say on his comments via Reddit, and the general feeling is of frustration with their ex-manager’s viewpoint, despite the supporters’ being very vocal about Woodward in the past.
