Thomas Partey’s agents forced to apologise for teasing Arsenal & Man United fans on Instagram

Will Thomas Partey leave Atletico Madrid?

Transfer rumours linked Ghanaian midfielder Thomas Partey with an exit from Atletico Madrid have been swirling around for a while.

The 26-year-old is under contract at Atletico until 2023.

However, Football London have reported that Partey has a 43 million pound release clause.

In recent days, Thomas Partey’s dad spoke to radio station Tru FM to claim that his son is in transfer talks with Arsenal.

But JJSports, who represent Partey, have since issued a statement denying that their client is in talks with the Gunners.

Partey’s agents forced to apologise for teasing Arsenal & Man United fans on Instagram

On Wednesday, JJSports posted a provocative image on Instagram.

The graphic featured Partey alongside the words “pick his club”.

The logos of five of Europe’s biggest clubs were included on the graphic.

Those clubs included Arsenal and Man United, plus PSG, Bayern Munich and Juventus.

So was this evidence that Partey’s exit from Atletico Madrid is happening?

And could he really end up at either Arsenal or Man United?

Not long after the image appeared on Instagram, JJSports deleted it.

Moreover, JJSports has since issued an apology for the Instagram post, blaming it one of the admins of their account.

It’s claimed this admin uploaded the post without direct permission from the player’s agent to publish it.

JJSports released a statement, saying:

This publication was not approved by the company management. An internal investigation has been opened to find out what exactly happened.
