"Losing my patience", "That's criminal" - Lots of Man Utd fans react to Solskjaer's admission
Having missed the past couple of games courtesy of an ankle injury, Paul Pogba made his return to first-team action for Manchester United in the Carabao Cup clash against Rochdale on Wednesday night.
The France World Cup winner hardly covered himself in glory during the game however, registering zero shots on target, accurate crosses or through balls.
Speaking in his pre-match press conference ahead of the Premier League game against Arsenal on Monday night, United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer delivered an injury update on the 26-year-old.
The Norwegian admitted Pogba “was really struggling with his ankle as it was really swollen”, and admitted the Frenchman is now a doubt to take on the Gunners at Old Trafford.
After hearing Solskjaer’s comments, United fans took to Twitter to voice their frustrations about the handling of the midfielder’s injury.
Many supporters of the Manchester side questioned why the Red Devils boss felt it was appropriate to play him in a “meaningless game”.
Some fans criticised Solskjaer’s management skills, with one supporter in particular insisting the Norwegian is simply “clueless”.
Check out some of the reaction of United fans below:
Yet you played him for whole 90min in a meaningless game.

Exactly what I was saying – why would you not take Pogba off after 60 mins? Simple management

Ole game/player management is the worse. A player only back from injury surely you don’t give him the full 90 minutes. Now he’s a doubt for a biggest game of the season so far.

Ole is confused

Poor management

Why did he play the full 90 against Rochdale then? That’s criminal.
— aaron wan biscammer (@aaronb_98) 27 September 2019
So you played him knowing he ain’t 100% fit? I swear this guy is clueless.

So u were that desperate for a win against Rochdale that u decided it would be a good idea to play an injured player. Not long before the dressing room downs tools

Ole mate I’m losing my patience.
